Fundamentals of Good Negotiations

This workshop is a hands-on workshop that meets on four nights starting January 28, 2008 (1/28, 1/31 2/4, and 2/7). This four session negotiation workshop will focus on the key elements of successful negotiations. The classes will last two and a half hours each night and will consist of a brief lecture, discussion and experiential exercise in negotiations. The cost of the workshop series is $50, payable by credit card through the registration process.

Topics covered will be:

• Uncertainty
• Preparation for negotiation
• Understand the two fundamental forms of negotiation
• Developing a BATNA (Best Alternative to a Negotiated Agreement)
• Dealing with dubious negotiating tactics
• Concluding Negotiations

Additional topics can be covered at the attendee’s request.

This course will be taught by Peter Wallace, a Professor of Business Administration at Stonehill College in Easton, Massachusetts. Peter has thirty years of varied business experience including ten years of negotiating experience in the Mergers and Acquisition area. Peter developed and has taught a course in Negotiations for the last seven years. Peter is currently a volunteer at the Naples chapter of SCORE.

This workshop will be held on four evenings (1/28, 1/31 2/4, and 2/7) from 5:30pm-8:00pm at The Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce located at 2390 Tamiami Trail N, Naples, FL 34103 in the Community Room on the 2nd Floor. The Chamber is located on the east side of U.S. 41 approximately 2 blocks north of Golden Gate Parkway.

This workshop is strictly limited to 24 attendees. Please be prepared to commit to all four sessions before signing up.
