Grants are a form of monetary aid that are awarded by government, foundations, corporations and private individuals. These monies are generally given out to help fulfill a specific purpose (e.g. cancer research). Each grantor can make the rules that govern the use of their money (e.g. must be used for capital expenditures or cannot be used for salaries). If you are considering searching for grant money to fund your business, it is important to have first polished up your business plan, as this will help you complete your grant applications. |
