If you are planning to start a business or already have one and think you might benefit from outside counseling (and who wouldn’t?) then you are eligible. It’s wise to consult with a SCORE counselor before you start a new business or if you are about to embark on major changes to an existing one. The most common method is by face-to-face meetings at our office, or yours or any other convenient location. If a face-to-face meeting is inconvenient then counseling is available by email through SCORE’s national website www.score.org. Often simple requests for advice or information can be handled quickly by phoning our local office. |
| Starting a Business |
| So you are contemplating starting your own business. CONGRATULATIONS! Business ownership can be extremely rewarding, but remember, it is generally very hard work. Below we have listed online resources which cover many areas needed to successfully start your business. Before you get too far, make sure that you have completed your Business Plan, which will help you throughout the rest of the process including financing and anticipating upcoming issues. Again, always remember that SCORE is available with counselors to help you through the process.
